Senevita and Tertianum now under one roof

Dübendorf, December 12, 2025 – The Tertianum Group today announced the acquisition of the Senevita Group. The agreement to support this acquisition was signed with the current owner, Emeis, a Paris-based nursing home group with international operations. The Swiss Competition Commission (COMCO) has approved the transaction. It was agreed to keep the purchase price confidential.

The merger sees two long-standing Swiss providers of residential and nursing care for the elderly team up for the future. Both companies combine high quality standards, a strong regional presence and a clear commitment to social responsibility in the care sector. By joining forces with Senevita, the Tertianum Group aims to expand its coverage in German-speaking Switzerland, thereby improving care provision significantly.

In his statement on the acquisition, Luca Stäger, CEO of the Tertianum Group, says "I would like to welcome the employees of the Senevita Group to our combined company. They will complement the Tertianum Group perfectly - with their expertise, commitment and professionalism. We are proud to be working with them under one roof in the future so that we are even better together. He goes on to say "The merger also consolidates our geographical reach, fosters operational excellence through shared learning and opens up new opportunities for all employees".

For his part, Dr. Ole Wiesinger, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Tertianum Group, had the following to say "The Tertianum Group has invested considerable resources in the development of standards, structures and systems in recent years. Our existing, scalable platform has facilitated the fast and smooth integration of a large number of new companies. Senevita and Tertianum will benefit from this in equal measure. Furthermore, this merger enables us to focus on continued growth—both in terms of scale and quality—while allowing us to fully leverage and amplify the advantages of being part of a larger group.

The operational integration will follow Tertianum’s proven approach, which emphasises alignment, shared values, customer benefit and a strong collective identity. Going forward, more than 10,000 guests will receive dedicated, needs-based care under the umbrella of the Tertianum Group. In addition, the Group will continue to invest sustainably in training in the care sector with 800 apprentices. Thanks to this important growth step, the Tertianum Group is now in a position to provide approximately 6,400 care beds and 4,300 apartments adapted to the needs of the elderly at 140 locations throughout Switzerland.
